Corgi toys were first released in 1956, often known as the ones with the Windows due to the innovation of having plastic windows.
They were made by Mettoy, founded in the 1930s and based in
Wales, as a competitor to Dinky’s popular super toys.
By 1959 boots and doors opened and suspension was added,
known as glidamatic
Corgi also produced a number of highly successful TV and
film related models from the 1960s onwards, most notably related to James Bond.

Versions and variations added excitement to the hunt and
diversity to a collection.
Look for rare colours different interiors for other
variations such as cast wheels or whizz wheels, as these can often be more
valuable.
Super detailing kits were sold in the 1960s and included
window stickers, how ever these additions will devalue the toy.
Where alternative prices are given, they are for models in
mint and complete packaging.
If the condition is less than mint, then sadly the value
will be too.
Many were played with and became worn or damaged.
