The Tour De France

Official merchandise

The Tour De France
Any souvenirs bearing the official Tour logo are popular and the range is large enough to suit all tastes and purses. If you are after memorabilia from the last couple of years, the official Tour de France website is a treasure trove. T- shirts range from around $8-£5 for children's sizes to $15-£10 for adult sizes, while Tour caps are priced at$12 -£8 and socks at $9- £6.50.

Even cheaper are the attractive metal pins, which come in two different designs, one with the official Tour logo, and one depicting a map of France. These start at around $14-£10 for the  logo pins .

Slightly more expensive, but worthy additions to any collection are the blue backpack for around $45-£30, the handlebar bag for $30- £20 and towel for $22-£16. And if you are searching for that special item to adorn your mantelpiece, there are metal handpainted figurines of mounted riders, with authentic decorations from the 1960s, for around $12-£8, or models of official Tour cars for around £30-$45 For pre-2001 logo items, you will need to search specialist websites. eBay, for example.

Whatever your special interest,  'eBay is a good tool, but you must be careful who you buy from,'  Trading is fun and allows you to accumulate jerseys for your collection.
